Good Energy Recommends Solar Suppliers

Which solar supplier?

100% renewable electricity supplier and micro-generation evangelist Good Energy has provided a small list of solar panel suppliers which it recommends.

From its blog post Which oil supplier?, the company states:

Good Energy works with several different solar suppliers and installers, chosen not only for their specialist skills in different areas of technology, but also because we believe they offer good value for money.

The suppliers on the list are:

  • Freessource Energy based in Wiltshire, provides photovoltaic and solar thermal installations. It has some very sensible advice for its 'free solar panels' option.
  • Solar Century is a pan-European outfit, installing all the way from domestic up to large scale power plants. It has an office in London.
  • Solarsense UK does solar thermal and solar PV systems from its offices in Bristol.
  • Southern Solar specialising in commercial, public sector and domestic clients, and with offices across the south of England and in south Wales.
  • Sundog Energy a solar and wind company based in Penrith, Cumbria.

Read more details about these companies on Good Energy's 'Green Energy Republic' blog and decide for yourself which - if any - suits you. I think that working with a local company on something so integral to your house is a big preference. Also check our list of solar PV installers.
