Location: Chantry Green, Ipswich, United Kingdom

A fun day's racing was had at Chantry Park in Ipswich, as the sun shone and just a gentle breeze blew. The grassy course held up nicely, and even the muddy wooded section didn't cause many problems. Full results on the Eastern League website.

Under 10s race

The first two races were on a very short course featuring two tough bits of climbing. The start was also up-hill - causing problems getting going for some of the smaller riders.

Vets 40-49 race

Our race was without incident, although Paul Groombridge and Mike Mooney took turns in crashing when leading the race. For once I was close enough to the lead to witness it, and later on even managed to take the lead up until the final sprint for the line - which Rob Purcell (Neon-Velo) won.
