Diss CC Suffolk Supercross

Location: Redgrave, United Kingdom

Diss & District CC hosted a fun event on the playing fields at Redgrave. Without the road this year the course was entirely grass-based, plus a few attacks of the large dirt mound. The surface held up well in the cool sunshine, and most riders seemed to stay upright without too much trouble. Full results on the Eastern League website.

Vets 40-49 race

For once the vet 50+ riders hadn't made a complete mess of the course, and we enjoyed a flowing race. If anything it was a bit too flowing, as the judges had great trouble keeping up as we passed through the start in large clumps. I'm still carrying a sprained wrist, so had asked to start from the third row, keeping away from the crazy front-row sprint. It worked well, and I had a great time riding through the field to finish an eventual 5th.
