Once again there was sunshine, warmth and torrential rain for the Norfolk Cross. This time the women and vet50+ riders got a drenching, as well as the hardy marshalls, timekeepers and commissaire. Earlier races were dusty and a bit dirty; that race and the last race were really filthy. The heat made things hard-going, and in my race I had clubmate Paul Groombridge to contend with - as well as my own rusty cx skills that saw me grind to a halt on the first gravel corner.
