A rainy week guaranteed muddy conditions for the Eastern League Cyclocross Round 11 at Redgrave (near Diss) in Suffolk. Earlier riders had less muck to contend with, but by the last race the rain had started and parts of the course were becoming almost un-rideable. The competitors, timekeepers and marshalls all had smiles on their faces though, and did well to keep up their enthusiasm in rather unpleasant conditions. Special mention to John Terrell (Ipswich BC) who had a great Vet's race and stayed around to cheer us on in the later races. More of us should reciprocate, and turn up earlier to support the competitors in the first race!
Youth race
Matt Clements (Lee Valley Youth) won the youth race in a time of 27:21, beating fastest under-14 Dougal Toms (Iceni Velo) by 15 seconds.

Senior race
Dennis Lisbyed of Icknield RC won the event, completing 9 laps in 56:44.
