This was a category B cyclocross event organised by Amis Velo, at Hilly Fields in Colchester (next to the Colchester Institute). Conditions were sunny and warm, with barely any wind, so not exactly testing for the riders.

Four Great Yarmouth CC juniors made the journey down for this Essex event: Dan, Zak, Matthew, Rowan. Dan was accidentally entered into the under 12's event (he's still 11, but is 12 this year so should have been in the under-14's group) and rode well for his first 'proper' cyclo-cross event.

It was great to see local cycling reporter Fergus Muir riding in the highly competitive veterans event, on a tough course with plenty of climbs, turns and bike carrying.
