A small band of cyclists turned out for this gentle 200km ride around the lanes of Suffolk. Maybe the numbers would have been higher if the forecast wasn't for heavy rain all day - but the forecast was pessimistic, and we started off in dry and mild (albeit overcast) conditions, had a brief rain shower at our most westerly point (Thornham) and a nice journey south-east towards Bawdsey before a coastal run through Orford and Dunwich. A northerly wind picked up after the last control at Wenhaston, and a light drizzle got heavier and heavier towards the end.
Huge thanks to organiser John Thompson for a thoroughly enjoyable event; simply charming roads, nothing too taxing, and the odd lump to climb over.
