After a fortnight of cold, gloom and wind and rain, the skies finally cleared and the 800 time triallists enjoyed the 16-mile event in mild conditions and just a light breeze. There was a technical start and finish, which made sure that speeds were kept down to keep things safe.
I had a mixed race, with my power jumping up and down (probably just in tune with the inclines and descents), but I ended up with a power curve that was consistent with other recent rides.
