Headed by John Pugh, Godric CC put on a fantastic event from the Broome village hall, with a generous buffet spread greeting riders after their rides. Daniel Bloy won the men's event with 1:49:59, and Verity Smith was fastest woman at 2:09:29. I managed to set a faster time than the previous week's '50 (same roads, different course), having gone out at a steadier pace and leaving something in reserve for the last 10 miles. In the process I caught rider numbers 40, 30 and 20, which leaves me wondering if there was a problem with the seeding...
