Despite a large field, calm conditions and strong riders, times were quite depressed for this morning time trial on the All in south Norfolk. Overall winner Paul Jay (Team Velo Velocity) thought that the clover-leaf turn at Snetterton was rather slow; it may indeed be deceptively slow, as riders can generally keep moving smoothly but only at 20mph or so for almost a minute.
Event organiser Sally Withey had a good result with second placed woman, and I was pleased to get second fastest place in the Vets-A category. The veterans' prize list was an interesting departure from the standard-times system, as it put riders into various age categories and then awarded scratch prizes in each category.
