Super hot day (almost 30 degrees) so it was important to be well hydrated. I drank half a 750mL bottle just before the start, and drank another quarter at the 5-mile turning point. Not normal for a 10-mile ride! To keep things interesting I rode my road bike, and managed to just about average over 25mph.
