The ToC consists of Saturday's Chrono (a time trial event with riders setting off on the 16-mile course at 20 second intervals) and the ToC Sportive / Gran Fondo / Race on the Sunday.
To try and qualify for the Amateur Worlds road race final, riders need to enter the Race or Gran Fondo (presumably at the 100 miles distance), with the top 25% in each age/gender group being invited to compete in the Worlds.
The Race sets off first, at 9am, followed by the Sportive and Gran Fondo at 10am. There is also a Family Fondo at 10:30, which consists of a 2-mile circuit that you can ride up to 6 times. Entries open in March for the family event.
From the showground, riders travel south through Chesterton, Washingly, Denton, Gt Gidding, Winwick and Weston, then heading east through Leighton, Alconbury, Woodwalton, Abbots Ripton and Broughton, then north through Upwood, Ransey St Mary's and Pondersbridge, then a small anti-clockwise loop through Ramsey Mereside, Ramsey Forty Foot, Benwick and Pondersbridge, before the last westward leg home through Farcett, Yaxley, Norman Cross and Chesterton.
