It's now well into August 2008, and after the heady heights of low 60p/L prices we are now seeing things settle down as the crude price slides.

I'm getting a 53p/L best quote from BoilerJuice, which puts 1000L at £560 inc VAT. My reckoning is that prices will continue to fall for a couple of months, so late September would be a good time to buy. Given that I was completely wrong about price movements back in May, however, don't take this too seriously!
