4 to 6 years : The Pole

You can buy a special pivoting pole that joins a regular child's bike to an adult bike.

The important question here is whether the child is cabable, trustworthy or reliable enough to hang on. The front wheel is off the ground, but child still needs some idea of balance and stability.
If stabilisers are fitted, they must be of the flip-up kind, so that they don't interfere with cornering.
