Halfords Profits Up

Radio 4 reported tonight that Halfords profits are up on a like-for-like basis over last year. The increase is modest, but it bucks the downward trend for non-food retailers in the UK. Its bicycle range (branded Apollo) is partly responsible for the healthy figures, which makes it galling that the company is not signed up to the Bike Hub scheme.
