2005 Sowing Regime

February

Time to start planting the seeds! The year has been unseasonably mild so far, so I'm going to take the risk and sow some vegetables rather early. Here's the diary for the month:

16th : Lettuce (old packet) - planted in a seed tray, placed in a cold frame.
15th : Brussel Sprouts (old packet) - planted in pots, bagged and put on warm window-sill
12th : Shalottes (from Roys) - 24 feet in four rows, 6 inches apart.
8th : Plum Tomatoes (old seed packet, couple of years old) - planted in pots and put on warm window-sill, inside bags.
Most of the sweet peas have come through.
Laid out some Pentland Javelin seed potatoes from Roys in seed trays on a light, cool window-sill.
6th : The Dahlias have come through already. They sit on a window-sill at around 60-70 degrees farenheit.
5th : Early Nantes carrots (from bargain shop in Cromer) - planted outside in sifted, sandy soil and covered with clear polythene frame.
1st : Sweet Peas (from Roys) - planted in pots, and put on cool window-sill, inside bags.
Dahlias (from Roys) - planted in pots and put on warm window-sill, inside bags.
Peppers (from Roys) - planted in pots and put on warm window-sill, inside bags.
