Getting the Broccoli in early

The broccoli grew very well for us last year, although we did suffer a glut as we had sown the seeds to closely in time to each other. This year we're sowing around four or five seeds in pots each week, varying that depending on how well they germinate. This way we'll hopefully see a steady crop throughout the summer and autumn.

Here you can see the seed packets that we bought - a couple of varieties from Mr Fothergill's.
