A-Bit Pentium 4 system with i865 chipset
AA8 Duramax motherboard:
- Socket 775
- 800MHz FSB
- Intel 925X / Intel ICH6-R Express Chipset (supports Pentium 4 Extreme)
- Four 240-pin DIMM sockets supporting dual channel DDR2 unbuffered non-ECC modules (either PC-4300 or PC-5200), max 1GB each
- PCI Express X16 graphics port
- PCI Express X1 I/O ports
- 4-port SATA 150 interface using the 82801 controller on the i925X chipset. This is RAID 0/1
- 7.1 channel audio
- 3-port IEEE 1394 Firewire at 100/200/400 Mb/s
- Gigabit LAN using Realtek controller (RTL8110S-32 chip)
Summary of success with OS installations:
JMicrosoft Windows XP Pro with SP2
This even worked with the disks configured with hardware RAID enabled.

Conditions were predictably filthy at the Milton CX, the last race on the Eastern Cross calendar. Earlier racers had to put up with a bit of mud, but by the last race it as extremely slippery and very challenging on the numerous steep climbs ... (more)
