I've just gone through the trauma of replacing virtually all the drivetrain on my Dawes Galaxy, and decided that it would be sensible to note down the vital statistics of the components:
  • Bottom Bracket: Shimano UN73, 122.5mm
  • Chainrings: 110mm pcd, 36 and 46 tooth
  • Cassette: Shimano HG60 8spd, 11-28 ratio
  • Chain: Shimano HG-70
I ordered these bits from Settle Cycles, and one of the chainrings they sent had the wrong pcd (pitch circle diameter). It took them most of a week to get the correct replacement to me.

I also ordered a set of Profile Century aero bars at the same time, since I'll be doing a longer commute again in a few weeks (around 17 miles each way).
