Basically, a digital signature is a "subtype" of the electronic signature, and some people refer to it as an advanced type of electronic signature. The digital signature guarantees signer authenticity and it cannot be copied or altered. The electronic signature is vulnerable to copying and forgery, and in many cases is not legally binding.
