Fans Investing in Bands

There are a few new websites out there that allow fans to invest directly in bands that have yet to make it in the crowded music industry. The sites publish bands' works and encourage visitors to invest in the ones they like. A profit share is available in cases where a band raises enough capital to produce a CD. This transition of startup band opportunities is reflected by some big names that are turning their backs on the traditional recording industry - notably Radiohead and Prince.
