Swimming Lessons

Isabel has now started swimming lessons. Her good friend Lily (who is almost the same age) showed Isabel how much fun you can have in the water, and ever since then she has been really happy to go under the water and actually try to swim.

This is what Isabel thinks about her swimming lessons:

I like to do the jumping in, and I also am very good at swimming underwater but not on top of the water. It is very hard to get my bum up when I'm swimming on top of the water. I have a friend in my swimming class, called Jessica, and she is a bit better than me.

We do float our backs, and I'm very good at that. I'm also very good at spinning around in the water. I can jump off my Dad's legs and swim to the side. It really is fun when I'm doing it because it looks so good, and when I look at the water I always take my time to go in it. When I jump in I like doing it quite a lot. I saw a little girl of three jumping in recently; I couldn't jump in at that age.
