Cameron Cuts Cause Care Concerns

The influential folks on mumsnet have got plenty of media attention, for championing the plight of a mother who feels compelled to put her severely disabled child into care. The mother had previous contact with David Cameron, so the story has become one of healthcare provision in the face of savage Government cuts.

The PM has commented on the online outcry and subsequent media storm, claiming that the plight of this mum and child are unrelated to the cutbacks, having been assured by the Gloucestershire health authority that this is the case.

Whatever the truth of the matter, the damage has been done - for the moment at least.
