Baby Pigeon

One would imagine that pigeons will build substantial nests, in trees or stout hedgerows. However, we have located a pigeon's nest (with two pigeon 'chicks' in it) precariously balanced on our grape vine. Not realising the nest was there when we gave the vine a bit of a trim, the nest is now in clear view and hopefully not too exposed for the ugly little things.

Monday 20 September, 2011: One of the pigeons has vacated the nest, at least as far as the kitchen window-sill. We couldn't tell where it went after that.
