Radiator Insulation
Don't heat your walls! Reflective inserts placed behind your radiators can reduce heat being lost directly through the wall, by around 8-15%. The Good Energy Shop has Heatkeeper Radiator Insulation Packs priced at £40 for 10 panels.
We did something similar and considerably cheaper using cardboard and aluminium foil, but aren't sure that even this is cost-effective.
