There's a Better Way
The UK Government's Cabinet Office is managing a site called ShowUsABetterWay.com with the tagline Tell us what you'd build with public information and we could help fund your idea!.
It lists a bunch of publically available data sets (including samples of Royal Mail's postcode set) and invites members of the public to submit their own solution for getting the message across.
